Metering Pumps and Water Quality Analyzers
Choose the metering pump and the water quality analyzer as one line. Match the drive to the chemical: solenoid, motor diaphragm, hydraulic diaphragm, plunger, or digital. Match the analyzer to the parameter you hold, such as pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, COD, residual chlorine, or ammonia. Send the chemical, the known flow and pressure window, and the destination for a quote. This page gives no price and no model duty.
Which metering pump fits the chemical
Buyers lose time when the drive is chosen from a photo. Sodium hypochlorite, acid, alkali, coagulant, polymer, and RO antiscalant do not share one wet end. The name on the inquiry should be the chemical and the concentration, not only “dosing pump”.
Solenoid diaphragm
Use this class for low-flow, intermittent dosing of chlorine, acids, and similar water-treatment chemicals. Stroke rate is the usual adjustment.
Motor diaphragm
Use this class when the plant runs continuously and the flow is an industrial feed, not a small intermittent dose.
Hydraulic diaphragm and plunger
Hydraulic diaphragm pumps are the continuous, higher-pressure class. Plunger pumps are for particle-free liquid at higher pressure. A slurry or a polymer with solids is the wrong match for a plunger.
Digital
Ask for a digital pump only when you need communication, such as MODBUS, or automatic degassing. It is not a fifth chemical family.
| Drive | Fits | Poor match | Write this on the inquiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solenoid diaphragm | Low-flow intermittent chemical feed | Continuous high industrial flow | Chemical and whether dosing is intermittent |
| Motor diaphragm | Continuous industrial feed | A duty that is only a few pulses per hour | Continuous or batch |
| Hydraulic diaphragm | Continuous feed at higher pressure | Untested solids in the liquid | Known pressure at the injection point, or “unknown” |
| Plunger | Particle-free liquid at higher pressure | Slurry, coagulated solids | Whether the liquid contains solids |
| Digital | Need for bus communication or degassing | A plain manual dose with no signal | Signal, if any |
If flow or pressure is not known, leave the cell blank. Do not invent a duty to look complete.
Water quality analyzers on the same line
A metering pump without a measured parameter doses to a guess. The analyzer belongs on the same treatment step as the pump: residual chlorine or pH on a disinfection line, turbidity where clarification is judged, dissolved oxygen, COD, or ammonia where those are the control values.
Parameters on this catalog
pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, COD, chlorine, and ammonia nitrogen. Ask only for the parameters the plant actually controls.
Online instrument or a portable check
An online analyzer is for continuous control. A portable meter is for a spot check. A pocket TDS pen is a different product and does not close a chemical feed loop.
Calibration and reagents
Ask for the calibration interval and the reagent, if that model uses one, in the same quote as the sensor. A sensor alone does not state how the reading is kept true.
Documents, spares, and sites without a resident engineer
Export buyers in Russia and in plants with a long spare-part wait need the paperwork and the wear parts named before shipment. The Russian pages of this site are for that reader. EAC is arranged per order. It is not a mark held on every card.
What to name in the file set
Chemical, destination country, and whether the quote must include an order-specific conformity file. Installation responsibility stays with the party named in the quote.
Wear parts
Ask for the pump head, diaphragm, and seals by model. A promise of “full warehouse stock” is not a spare-parts list.
Who installs
If nobody at the site will commission the skid, write that in the inquiry. The quote can include a dosing system. It does not assume a resident engineer.
- Name the chemical and the concentration.
- Pick the drive from the table, not from a brand photo.
- Name the analyzer parameter on the same line.
- State the destination and whether an order-specific file is required.
- List the wear parts you want quoted.
- Say who installs.
Six items to send before a quote
- Chemical name and concentration.
- Continuous duty or intermittent duty.
- Flow window, if the site knows it. Leave it blank if not.
- Pressure at the injection point, if known. Leave it blank if not.
- Power supply and any control signal.
- Analyzer parameters, and whether the pump must follow that reading.
A sizing formula, not a catalog rating
When the site knows water flow, target dose, and solution strength, pump flow in litres per hour is water flow in cubic metres per hour, times dose in grams per cubic metre, divided by strength in grams per litre. That result is an input to the quote. It is not a rating printed on this page.
What the quote shows
WEILAN is a supplier and exporter in Zhejiang. The brand printed on a product card is the brand of that card. Prices stay on the quote. Model pages state the drive and the materials for that card. This guide does not copy those materials onto every pump.
Questions buyers bring
A chlorine line starts from a solenoid or a dosing system, plus a chlorine or pH analyzer if the dose must follow a reading. An RO antiscalant line starts from the chemical and the injection point, not from a city page. A wastewater pH line starts from the chemical and the analyzer parameter.
Metering pumps and water quality analyzers are quoted together when they serve one line. Send the six items above and the destination.
